We approach remodeling projects with “design” first.  There are two ways to go about designing and budgeting for the perfect remodeling project:

1. You hire a competent designer (hopefully Mahar Contracting).

2. You use your design to get multiple quotes from various contractors (I’m happy to quote a design you may already have)

3. If you hire Mahar Contracting for design AND construction, we’ll take the cost of design off the final construction cost (which means you get your design for free in exchange for putting our great team of talented people to work). 

Note: It is conceivable that we could spend all of our time designing projects for other contractors to bid…so we have to start with a design budget in mind…and we have to charge “something” for such a useful document.

Understanding and documenting your wants and need (measured against what can be accomplished with your budget) is the best way for you to achieve your preferred outcome.  With 20years experience designing spaces that we have built (on-time and within budget), you can be assured that we won’t design a $100k project for a $60k budget.
